Getting Started with Your Whisp Platform

This quick guide will walk you through what to expect when your Whisp arrives, how it works, and how to prepare your space for installation.

Unboxing Your Whisp

Each Whisp platform arrives carefully packaged with everything you need to get started. Inside your box, you’ll find:

  • Your Whisp diffuser unit
  • Mounting bracket and hardware
  • Power adapter
  • HVAC connector and tubing
  • Quick-start instruction booklet

Before installation, check that all items are included and inspect the unit for any visible damage from shipping. Keep your packaging materials until setup is complete - they’re perfect for safe transport if you ever relocate your unit.

Integrating with Your HVAC

Your Whisp platform is designed to integrate directly into your home or business' HVAC system. The goal is to distribute scent evenly throughout your space - not just one room.

For best results:

  • Mount or place your Whisp near your HVAC main air supply duct.
  • Ensure the device is installed upright and level - this helps maintain consistent atomization.
  • Avoid tight bends on the tubing as this can restrict airflow.

What you’ll need for a successful installation:

  • Drill and wall anchors (for wall-mount installations)
  • 3/4” hole saw or step drill bit
  • HVAC foil tape or plumber’s putty for sealing

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Choose a location close to your HVAC ductwork to mount your platform and essential oil containers.
  2. After the platform is mounted, drill a small opening (¾”) in the main air supply duct  close to the platform.
  3. Insert the supplied connector tubing (the large tube) into the main air supply duct.
  4. Seal around the connection with foil HVAC tape or plumbers putty to prevent air leaks.
  5. Attach the all tubing to your Whisp platform. Simply press firmly to seat the tubing into the connector(s). If you need to remove the tubing, simply press down on the plastic collar ring around where the tube goes in, and gently pull up on the tubing.
  6. Once all tubing is installed, it's time to plug in your Whisp, switch on the power, and begin programming it.

Once installed, the airflow from your HVAC unit will carry the fragrance evenly through every room - creating a consistent, luxurious scent experience.

Your First Diffusion Cycle

After installation, it’s time to power on and set up your scenting cycle(s). Each Whisp platform allows you to customize the working time (how long it diffuses) and pause time (how long it rests).

Start with the default setting and run this schedule 3-5 times per day:

  • Work for 60 seconds
  • Pause for 120 seconds
  • Example schedule:
    • 8:00 AM to 8:15 AM
    • 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM
    • 4:00 PM to 4:15 PM
    • 8:00 PM to 8:15PM


This balanced schedule provides a gentle scent profile distributed throughout the day. You can adjust later as you fine-tune the perfect scent balance for your space.

Pro Tips

  • Always begin with a lighter intensity, and build up from there until it meets your space and your desired scent intensity.
  • Once you've determined the best schedule for your needs, write it down and keep it near your platform. This is because each scent varies in intensity, so if you swap out your scents, you will be able to setup the perfect schedule again when you go back to this scent in the future.
